"Ouch," Ron mumbled, rubbing his sore head.
Are you gone?He thought.
When no reply came, relieved, Ron turned around and scanned the area for Hermione. She was nowhere. Where was she?

Hermione heaved a sigh of relief as the thudding stopped. She moved to stand up but dropped her book, resulting in a loud clatter.
"Oh for goodness sake," she hissed.

Ron heard a thud. It must be Hermione. Not wanting to alarm her, he walked over slowly, and looked around the trees ahead. There she was. Her eyes were red, She'd been crying. How bad Ron felt.
Walking slowly over, he said
"Hermione? Are you Okay? I'm Sorry..."

Hermione's head snapped up at the sound of Ron's voice.
"I'm fine," she said, picking up her book.

"You're not," Ron insisted, "You're upset, not to mention angry."
He sighed. SHe wouldn't believe him. He wasn't shouting at her. But it was the only sane explaination.
"I'm sorry, I hope you understand me," Ron mumbled, turning away and walking in the direction he face.
"I really am..."

She looked at him and waited for his reaction.

Ron turned and smiled.
"I really was shouting at myself you know, honest."
The moment was made better by the absence of the annoying voices,
"I don't suppose you need a hug?" Ron asked, fingers crossed behind his back.

Herminoe rolled her eyes and giggled.
"Oh, alright then," she smiled.
She moved forward and wrapped her arms around his torso. She let out a small contented sigh at feeling so comfortable.

Ron grinned. A proper hug. And Hermione seemed to like it.
"I'd never make you angry for fun you know," He mumbled, breathing in the flowery smell of her hair. It was so soft. Just like he'd imagined it.

She stood for a few seconds and enjoyed the feeling of Ron's arms around her.
"I can hear your heartbeat," she breathed.

Ron laughed.
"I'm human then,"
He could feel her breath on his neck, and smell her sweet scent around him.
It was like a dream, but it was reality. Fighting his urge to kiss her, he stayed still, wanting the hug to last for hours, days, forever.

Ron smiled at her, staring into her eyes. She was beautiful. He'd known it for so long, but now, so close to her, he found her more beautiful than ever.
He didn't know what to say. He'd spoil it by speaking.

She threw caution to the wind and stood on her tiptoes, to close the gap between their lips.

Hermione's lips were soft of Ron's. He smiled into the kiss, brushing his finger through her hair.
Her skin was soft as he held her hand. The moment he'd been waiting for since they'd met. Nothing could ruin it.
