Nessie smiled softly as she ran her fingers through her hair as she looked around the familiar baseball field. Her family would come here often to play baseball, she loved watching them, her parents didn't think it was to safe for her to play, because she was half human. Jacob would usually occupy her time, he was the closest person to her, probably even more than her mother or father. Nessie loved Jake, he had been a part of her life since day one, she couldn't ever forget that but there was so much that was special about him, plus he fit in with her family, the secrecy.
Her brown eyes scanned the field, the five year old with an intellect and looks of at least fifteen, if not older. Her parents, Bella and Edward, aunts and uncles, Emmette, Rosalie, Alice, and Jasper, and grandparents, Charlie, Esme, and Carlise were all schooling her though she knew so much already and they were filling her mind with so much more. Nessie's abilities had been slowly growing, she was able to show multiple people what she was thinking at once, and her family was still bewildered by it. Nessie sighed as she walked along the edge of the clearing where she normally sat when the storms came so that her family could play ball. She grinned gently listening for anyone else in the wood.

Jacob, feeling both lonely and bored, ecided to go for a run in the woods. Shifting into his wolf form, he ran swiftly through the trees, before stopping upon hearing a noise. Looking out across the field, he saw Nessie. She was in the Cullen baseball field again. It struck him how much she looked like her parents from afar. Backing behing the tree, he shifted ack into his human form. He began walking toward her, as quietly as he could. Upon reaching her, he covered her eyes with his hands.
"Guess Who?"

Nessie grinned softly as her brown eyes opened as he heard the footsteps coming towards her and the sent hit her. As his hands covered her eyes she smiled softly and lifted her own to cover his, his voice she knew that by heart. "Hmm... maybe it's grandpa..." She said the smirk on her lips as she pulled gently on his hands and turned to face him. She grinned softly wrapping her arms around him in an embrace, her warm eyes lifted before pulling slightly away from him to glance around the beloved field. "Hmm... I wanna play next time." She murmered.

Jake laughed quietly, doubting that Bella or Edward would let her. He acknowledged that it would be too dangerous, as they always did. That is what parents are for after all.
"Maybe they'll let you next time," He said quietly into her ear.
There was a short pause.
"You're hair smells really nice," Jacob said, grinning.

Nessie grinned softly hearing Jacob speak, he would let her play? She found that hard to believe, usually as long as her parents sid no so would Jacob. She laughed gently as she lifted her warm eyes to him, the eyes everyone swore were those of her mother. She sighed softly grinning at him. "I wish they would." she murmered and laughed as she mentioned her hair smelling good. She shook her head as she turned her eyes to him. "Hmm... you... you smell like my Jacob." She grinned as she hugged him.

"Do I now?" Jake laughed, "And what do I smell like? Flowers? Honey?"
He smiled at her. She'd grown up so quickly. It felt like yesterday that he had first seen her.
"This is really nice, " Jake said quietly, "It being just me and you for once."
Looking at her, he felt his heart thumping in his chest,as it always did when she was nearby.

Nessie smiled softly looking at him, her brown eyes raised to him as she showed him what she saw when she looked at him. She grinned gently as he spoke and nodded. "If Dad knew..." She paused a small smile on her lips as she looked at Jacob. She sighed lifting her eyes to the sky momentarily, they had told her that she only had about another two years to grow, right now at the physical age of about fifteen she grinned gently. Her father wouldn't ever forget her real age, he always acted like that with her, her mother did somewhat too, but not as bad as her father. She sighed turning her eyes to Jacob again.

Jake chuckled "Yeah, if you dad knew,"
He looked at her. She looked so old, for toddler. He could sometimes forget how young she was, but Edward and Bella, so very protective of her, always reminded him.
"You're very quiet today Ness," He commented, "Anything wrong?"

Nessie grinned gently at Jacob and shook her head shrugging. Her warm brown eyes turned to him as she let out a small sigh and shrugged. Nessie wrapped her arms gently around him and bit gently on her bottom lip. "Jacob... I hate how they don't let me do anything." She murmered, her whole family saw her for the age she was not the age she was intellectually, or physically. She sighed as she turned her eyes up to him. Her family, couldn't believe that her and Jacob would be together forever either, she just knew they would be. She bit gently on her bottom lip and smiled to him lifting her eyes.

"You're their Baby Ness, I've known Bella for a long time," Jake paused, "and she really does cherish her family, to loose you is one of the worst things that could ever happen to her, worse than death even. She almost died when she brought you into this world, and would die if you were taken out. She's not willing to take the risk, and neither will Edward"
He sighed, " They love you alot Ness, believe me, they're just overprotective,"
He knew that Bella and Edward didn't think they'd last, and he could deal with it. There was a time where he'd loved Bella, and he knew that one day, Bella'd realise that he really did love Ness, and that it would work. Just not today.

Nessie nodded and smiled softly to Jacob, she lifted her eyes to him and nodded as she laid her head against his chest. She knew that she would always be seen as the family baby. She smiled softly against Jacob and closed her eyes. Her small arms still wrapped around him. "I guess." She murmered and turned to look back on everything, she grinned gently turning back to Jacob.

Nessie smiled softly lifting the warm brown eyes to him, she pressed her hand gently to his cheek and sighed. Nessie bit gently on her bottom lip looking at him and forced a small smile across her lips. "I know Jacob..." She glanced back across the small field. "I just hate being treated like an incompetent child." She murmered, sometimes she wondered what it would be like to go off on her own for awhile, to be able to do what she wanted to.

He kissed her gently on the cheek, before pulling her into a huge hug.
"We all love you," He grinned, "Me especially!"

Nessie smiled softly to Jacob and nodded her cheeks turned a light pink at his kiss. She sighed as he wrapped her in his arms. She grinned hugging him back. "One of the many reasons I love my Jacob." She murmered grinning at him. Nessie sighed resting her head against his chest and laughed gently.
