Annie adjusted her bag on her shoulder as she walked through the opening to Diagon Alley. Her eyes lit up as she saw the row of different shops and she scanned for somewhere to go. She caught sight of Flourish and Blotts bookshop and headed straight there to stock up on what she needed and to find something interesting to read on the train. When she saw the rows of bookshelves, she didn't know where to start, so she just headed to her left to see what was there. Her eyes moved backwards and forwards over the titles as she looked for the books that she needed for school.

Scott, who was in Flourish and Blotts, had already a huge pile of books, which he was planning to read soon. He'd always loved books, and this was just like heaven. And when he thought it couldn't get any better, a beautiful girl was on the opposite side of the bookcase. Trying to not scare her, he moved back.

Hearing a noise, Annie looked up. She turned her head and looked around. Unable to identify where the noise came from, she shrugged her shoulders and returned to the shelf in front of her. She pulled a few books from the shelf and tucked them under her arm before moving a little further along the row.

Scott looked through the gap in the books. She was a very pretty girl, and luckily she hadn't seen him in here. She'd think he was a dork, as he'd just purchased numerous books, and had a huge pile of them next to him. What if she comes around the corner? Scott thought.

Annie moved around the corner of the bookshelf and nearly bumped into a very cute guy who had a large stack of books. "I'm sorry," she smiled, as she turned to look at the bookshelf.

"No problem," He said, moving his books behind him so she wouldn't trip again. Should he introduce himself? He was so nervous that he made himself even more nervous by thinking that he looked bad. After a few failed attempts to pluck up the courage to introduce himself, he gave up and hung his head.

Annie smiled at him and decided to introduce herself. "I'm Annie," she smiled, "What's your name?"

"Wood James Scott, erm, James Wood Scott, erm, Scott James Scott" He blushed bright red, and brushed his hand through his hair. "So...."

Annie giggled at his nervousness. "Nice to meet you..." she chuckled, as he ran his hand through his hair. "So, what house are you in at school?" she asked, trying to make conversation.

"The boy's dorms," He blushed red, "Griffindor," He looked up at her, attempting to not look so stupid. "What about you?"

"Ravenclaw.....the girls dorms," she winked. She adjusted her books under her arm as she picked another one from the shelf.

"I guess," she smiled, "Don't like cats though. I'm allergic." She looked over at him. "How about you?"

"Nice names," she grinned, "I'm fine with them thankyou. I'm sure you have enough of your own." She eyed his rather large pile of books with a smile.
